Is MEM scientifically proven — should I be skeptical?
Healthy skepticism is entirely reasonable. I welcome it.
What I would ask skeptics — particularly those who have spent years in therapy — is to apply that same skepticism to what they have already tried. If understanding your problem deeply has not freed you from it, perhaps the question is not whether MEM is proven, but whether what you have been doing is actually working.
MEM is not peer-reviewed in the way pharmaceutical trials are. It is a relatively young and still emerging method in the wider therapeutic world. What it does have is fifty years of refinement by its founder, a clear and coherent theoretical framework, and — most importantly — results that speak for themselves in the lives of the people who have experienced it.
My view is simple: it is simple, it is effective, and its results last. Do not wait to get rid of the negative ballast that is holding you back.
If you are curious, the most useful thing you can do is not read more about it — it is to try a session.
